IDRA Teatro is thrilled to announce PERFORMALITA Collective as the winner of its call for residents Residences of Change – Harnessing the Transformative Power of the Creative Practice launched as part of the Culture Moves Europe 2027 scheme.
After being awarded residency status, IDRA Teatro developed its call around the topic of gender-based violence and violence against women, in particular. Through the creation of a new participatory format, the expectation is for the residents to elaborate on the topic and to reflect on the role that the performing arts can play in addressing that which is in effect a social emergency.
In PERFORMALITA’s submission IDRA found undeniable and remarkable alignment between the company’s research and the goals of European mobility, exchange, and cultural cooperation, upon which the programme itself is founded. Indeed, the collective, based in Prague, bring together artists from Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, and Czechia.
More to the point, the company’s application stood out for its interdisciplinary approach, open to experimentation and dialogue between different artistic languages and traditions. In it, assessors recognised the project’s potential to contributing to the overarching theme, whilst introducing a significant degree of innovation.
The residency is due do take place in the spaces that IDRA Teatro occupies at MO.CA – Centro per le nuove culture, in Brescia city centre, between the months of January and February 2027. During their stay, PERFORMALITA will be able to draw on on-field research trips and to develop new creative perspectives through direct engagement with local artists and professionals.
IDRA’s choice to award PERFORMALITA its European residency reflects a long-standing commitment to supporting artistic paths that foster dialogue, participation, and creative cross-pollination. This new encounter, we are certain, will pave the way for future collaborations and joint initiatives: PERFORMALITA join IDRA Teatro’s catalogue of significant partners with whom to promote artistic mobility and European cultural cooperation.

IDRA Teatro annuncia PERFORMALITA Collective come vincitore del bando di residenza Residences of Change – Harnessing the Transformative Power of the Creative Practice lanciato nell’ambito del programma Culture Moves Europe 2027.
